Hi there.

I write books for kids. I've written quite a few over the years, probably hundreds of them. About 50 have become actual books, which makes me happy. I hope you'll find them at your local library and read a few.

Official Bio

Linda Ashman is the author of more than 50 picture books and the creator of The Nuts and Bolts Guide to Writing Picture Books. Her books have been included on the "best of the year" lists of The New York Times, Kirkus Reviews, School Library Journal, the American Library Association, the Children's Book Council and others, and have been translated into many languages.

 

Linda grew up in New Jersey, worked in New York, and spent many years in Los Angeles and Denver. She now lives in Chapel Hill, North Carolina with her husband Jack Hicks and their dog Lucy. When not writing, she does lots of other things, like watching her son Jackson's baseball games, working in the garden, puttering, ruminating, and picking up dog hair.
